This is so hard to put into words, the fires across Australia are just devastating - that’s a fact.

There are many rumours and causes of these fires, and a multitude of political finger pointing happening, but the reality is, we all now have to take a reactive approach to this catastrophe.

And with that, there are millions of dollars in resources required to firstly keep people safe, and secondly begin to rebuild.

We almost can’t even talk about the rebuilding just yet because the fires are not under control.

So one thing I wanted to highlight is; does money make it better? And can business play a part...?

Let’s start here... Four incredible talents, among many others who have donated:

Celeste Barber, a comedian who has millions of followers, currently has generated over $35million for the fires.

Pink, a singer [among many other talents] who also has millions of followers, has personally donated $500,000 to the bush-fire appeal.

Husband and wife Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, country music singer and actress [both, among many other talents], have also personally donated $500,000 to the bush-fire appeal.

I share these examples because, these people have lived out incredible careers and continue to do so, and by them being incredibly successful, having mass influence and being kind-hearted - they are able to give back to something like what we’re facing right now with the #AustralianFires

Grant Cardone said it best when he said, “success is your duty, obligation and responsibility”.

And through your business

Through your career

Through your passions

You are able to give back.

If every single person ensured they were on their own mission of success, then more people can contribute in ways that matter to them.

So, does money make the impact of these fires better?

Yes. That is clear. These fires are something we can wish never happened in the first place, but we’re here now and something needs to be done to help the injured, the homeless, the scared, the scarred...

And, can business play a part in all of this?

Absolutely. Businesses can. Influencers can. Celebrities can. And this is why it’s so integral that you follow the words of Grant Cardone, because it gives you the opportunity to contribute.

I hope this adds another perspective to these fires and let’s people see that you can do something, success is not selfish, and if you’re reading this, I know we are all in this together.
